NICHE IDEA #25 - YouTube
So I go back and forth with this daily… Do I like the name. NIche Ideas is good. The domain is free and there is lots I can do with it.
But my mind always thinks about the future, and Side Hustle Ideas are way bigger. So we may pivot to that in the coming days, but that won’t change anything I’m doing other than the name.
I’m still going to share an idea each day.
I also decided to build in public with my goals. Retweets & shares are appreciated.
I have one goal the rest of the year in terms of this indie hacking space.

THE IDEA: YouTube
But not the way you think. I am not saying to you become the next Big Youtuber by playing video games, doing IRL content or anything else. It would be best if you thought outside the box.
Niche down ( no pun intended)
Some of the best ideas for making money online don’t need you to bring in millions of views. As they say, you only need 1,000 true fans to make something work.
Youtube is no different.
Now, this one is kinda of an all-around decent idea. The best part about is now you have ChatGPT and other AI at your fingertips to give you even more ideas.
For example, here are 10 that I got from ChatGPT.
Whispered Book Readings: Focus on whispering classic or niche books, catering to ASMR enthusiasts and book lovers who enjoy a calming, auditory experience.
Ambient Historical Soundscapes: Create soundscapes replicating specific historical periods or events, like medieval castle sounds, ancient marketplaces, or Victorian-era streets.
Instrumental Storytelling: Combine instrumental music with soft narration to tell short, calming stories or fables, offering a unique blend of relaxation and entertainment.
Nature Meditation Sessions: Provide guided meditation sessions that incorporate specific nature sounds, like rainforest ambiance, desert winds, or underwater sounds.
Vintage Sound Experiences: Curate and create audio experiences that mimic the sounds of vintage media, like vinyl records, old radios, or silent film scores.
Urban Serenity: Capture and loop calming sounds from city environments, like distant traffic, footsteps in the rain, or subway rides, providing a unique take on urban ASMR.
DIY Instrument Sounds: Use homemade or unconventional instruments to create soothing sounds, attracting viewers interested in both relaxation and unique DIY projects.
Cultural Sleep Sounds: Focus on traditional lullabies or calming sounds from various cultures, offering a soothing and educational experience.
Deep Sea Ambiance: Create long-form videos of deep-sea or underwater sounds, mixed with subtle music, catering to those who enjoy the mystery and tranquility of the ocean.
Silent Walks: Record and share the sounds of silent walks through different environments, like forests, beaches, or quiet streets, focusing on the natural ambiance.
These all have a common theme, if you notice. They all are similar to soothing sounds. One of my favorite hidden gems in terms of Youtube(not so much anymore)
This channel (Soothing Relaxation) has 11 million subscribers and a billion views. Its creators made the concept its own through real-life experiences and sounds—the human touch.
This is what you need to do to get big, and you never have to show your face.
I’m always iffy about people who say they make X amount from faceless YouTube channels. It’s not easy work. You have to post a lot.
HOW TO BUILD IT?
Content is king for this one. Once you find a niche that is what you want to do, I’d focus on that. Don’t expect much even after 100 videos. Keep going, so this is why I say you gotta love it.
Just because it may take awhile doesn’t mean you shouldn’t work on stuff. I think you should have everything set up and understand the flow of how you will make money so that when the time comes, you are ready.
What do I mean by this?
Don’t just start posting every day. Build a landing page/ portfolio website. You can use sites like carrd, which are free. If you are selling Amazon products, you can post the information in the description of each video.
Get everything setup, put the correct information in the description. Make it easy for people to find everything about you regarding your business. Treat it as a business and not just a hobby.
The good news is that I don’t think YouTube is going anywhere, but still make sure you have followers everywhere. If you want the safest option, you should start a newsletter. This guide can show you how. This will help you build a business you “own” without worrying about getting blocked on a social account or banned.
Share this with a friend. Your Link is below. It will help me out getting to 20k subs.
